The long-anticipated Vegas-born doughnut brand, Pinkbox Doughnuts, is officially open to doughnut lovers in the St. George area as of Saturday, August 13. Pinkbox Doughnuts St. George kicked off its grand opening celebrations with a line wrapped around the building, the debut of the exclusive Utah “Oh My Heck, Grandma!” doughnut, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony that included Shawn Christensen, CEO of the St. George Chamber of Commerce, Jill Hunt, with the SGACC Sunshiners and St. George Chamber of Commerce, Lieutenant Dave Williams with the City of St. George Police Department, and Russ Leavitt, Operations Supervisor at Gold Cross Ambulance.
As part of Pinkbox’s mission to spread smiles, guests enjoyed a variety of family activities along with the chance of being one of the three lucky winners to bite into a pink ticket and receive free doughnuts for a year. The event also featured a doughnut eating contest emceed by Derek Hendrickson, known as “Big Heavy D.” The kids contest featured sixteen competitors who raced to eat PEE-WEEZ, while the sixteen adults took on five different full-sized treats including a Pinky, a Veegee, two Poohs, and the exclusive Utah doughnut, “Oh My Heck, Grandma!”
The renowned 70+ flavors from the rotating, one-of-a-kind menu and signature coffees are now available for guests to enjoy Sunday – Thursday 5:00a.m. – 9:00p.m. and Friday & Saturday 5:00a.m. – 10:00p.m. Customers will also have the opportunity to shop the brand’s iconic line of merch, including their popular hats, hoodies, T-shirts. The 2,700 square-foot location takes the Pinkbox experience to new levels with décor as vibrant as the flavors,featuring pink drips on the walls, 3-dimensional sprinkles and a coffee spill, and pink floor stripes. Embracing the brand’s whimsical design, the exterior also features a drive thru and a patio that includes a 7-foot Instagrammable doughnut. Pinkbox Doughnuts has plans to open many more locations all throughout Utah from St. George up to Salt Lake City in the next 24 months.
