Plaza Reimagines Downtown Las Vegas Casino With New Outdoor Bar And Smoke-Free Slots Room
Plaza Hotel & Casino has a new face where Main Street meets the Fremont Street Experience in downtown Las Vegas. The former porte cochere and entrance space is now home to the circular Carousel Bar.
The new bar is flanked by a new smoke-free Brian Christopher Slots Room and a bright Pinkbox Doughnut shop. The property also added outdoor seating to Oscar’s Steakhouse on the second floor.
The changes at the Plaza are part of the “Main Street Reimagination” of this quintessential downtown Las Vegas casino. The plans were announced about a year ago.
During a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new venues Plaza Hotel & Casino CEO Jonathan Jossel said:
“For more than 50 years, the Plaza has called 1 Main Street home. Main Street is where Las Vegas got its start, and the Plaza continues to enhance this historic and exciting thoroughfare. Last year, we opened the legendary live music venue Sand Dollar Downtown. Today, we further establish Main Street as a premier downtown destination with the addition of Carousel Bar, Pinkbox Doughnuts, Brian Christopher Slots at Plaza, and a rooftop patio overlooking it all at Oscar’s Steakhouse.”
The additions change the face of the Plaza while the property continues to stick to its roots of offering classic Las Vegas service and gaming throughout the property.
Pinkbox Doughnuts
The 10th Pinkbox Doughnuts shop in Las Vegas adds a little whimsy to this historic casino. Guests can enter the shop through a 12-foot-tall doughnut on Main Street. There’s a less spectacular entrance on the casino floor as well.
The bright and very pink shop has as many as 70 different doughnuts. The shop and doughnuts are both equally Instagrammable.
Pinkbox is open 24 hours on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The doughnut shop is open from 5 a.m. until midnight the rest of the week.
